| I AM THE AFRICAN
I am power, I am energy, I am the tool of
Development, and the more, I am life.. Tell you What? The Portuguese needed me, Dutch people Needed me, British people needed me, German People needed me; Spanish people needed me, so did The French people and so forth. Do you know what they did? They kicked off A tough struggle for international dominion Between themselves, and with selfish, unfair Motivations, excuses and objectives, they invaded My precious blood, then took me forcibly From my homeland to the new world to help in the Foundation of the building of that world, good Bye, good bye, good bye Africa, Africa, good bye, Good bye, good bye. Hello new world!! Now, I can remember that shameful torture Human creature never encounter in that Beautiful island of my town, down there in Gorée Island while waiting for a non return shipment. I can also remember that deadly middle passage, a Passage during which, an uncountable number of My very precious African souls lost their very Precious lives in that very deep ocean during that Deadly crossing, and not to mention, the First World War, when the French nation's life and Dignity were jeopardized before the wicked enemy. They needed my help, and I went there and lent A very precious and appreciated helping hand Facing the heavy gun attacks and bombshells Dropped by the wicked enemy which has greatly Contributed to the present liberation, dignity And power of the French nation. Now you do Know why you can find me everywhere, Representative in every field beyond the oceans. Invader! Hey you invader!! Be a sport please, History still continuous and no one could stop It, there is no way turning the clock back, no Way! No way, and now, I claim for what is mine, I am the African. |
