The Accommodation...
Inside the resort there are a variety of flora and fauna which is in line with their environmental policy. Much of the ingredients used in the restaurant are grown in the area.
Examples of fruits are: oranges, lemons, tangerines, grapefruit, bananas, mangoes, papayas, coconuts, avocado, cashew, cassava and a variety of vegetables, not to mention all the wonderful flowers and herbs.
Our palm trees are an attraction in itself - even tourists come here on day trips to taste the very special palm wine.
The surrounding area is a fantastic environment for bird life, thanks to the peaceful nature of the place. This is an ideal place for you if you want to escape from ordinary tourist life and if you wish to live close to nature and genuine Gambian culture.
We offer a variety of activities during the days, like workshops, field visits at local schools, excursions, etc. During the evenings we offer live entertainment, music and dancing, while enjoying dinner or just relaxing after the adventures of the day.

The facilities...
This resort is set in a protected area with an own garden of 40 000 m2, situated outside a local village. There are 12 fine bungalows, a conference hall, restaurant and a newly constructed swimming pool. At the reception you can buy souvenirs crafted by skilled local artists.
The resort offers single and double rooms with balcony in a lovely tropical and natural environment. The environmentally oriented policies in place mean that electricity is available from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 a.m (sunset to sunrise) and that includes a ceiling fan, but no air conditioning. Water is available in the shower and bathroom around the clock, and in the pool area.
Although there are few mosquitoes around the resort, there are mosquito nets provided around the beds for those who wish to use them. The rooms are cleaned daily.
The swimming pool (5 x 10 m, 1,5 m deep) inaugurated in November 2008 is an almost luxurious feature of our eco resort, however very much appreciated by our guests wanting to refresh themselves in the heat.

The resort is situated in the middle of nature, surrounded by least five villages with different cultures. All staff working at this accommodation are local people from the surrounding villages which gives them the opportunity to have a job during the dry season.
As an Eco Resort, all vegetables served in the Restaurant are from our own Garden thinking of the environment.
This project works for sustainable Tourism by being a mediator and promoting both Cultural trips and Voluntary projects from Europe to The Gambia.
Every year and for the past three years, students have been visiting from Europe for Cultural and Voluntary exchange programs. The programs or projects that are linked to this resort are in the educational sector, health sector, and they also work with orphanage centres and cultural music groups.
