What will I be doing on this trip?
The Ashanti Kingdom stands out as a preferred tourist destination in West Africa with its rich history, time-honoured traditions, arts and natural scenic beauty. All the ethnic groups in Ghana cherish their culture. Visitors to Ghana are enthralled by the fascinating cultural experience that link the past to the present in the institution of rich regalia and chieftaincy, famous kente cloth, traditional festivals and rites.
This tour is about experiencing the richness of the Ashanti culture. We recommend that this tour should fall on the Akwasidea festival celebrated every six weeks in accordance with the Akan Calendar so that you can have a feel of how Ashantis celebrate their festival. Your visits will help enhance the sustainability and enhancement of local culture, heritage, and minimize negative impacts.

How does this holiday make a difference?
The tour operator have built strong links with local communities, craftspeople and artists who are maintaining the Ghanaian culture and traditions. They offer visitors an opportunity to meet them, thereby valuing their activities and thus helping towards their survival. After the trip in the craft villages – Adamwomase, Ahwia and Ntonso travellers are encouraged to leave some money in the communities by eating delicious and nutritious local foods and buy local souvenirs.
Recently, in Adanwomase one of the craft villages in Ahanti Region, the entrance fees generated were used to build visitors centre for the site and renovate their school building
All guides on this trip are local guides, picked for their excellent indigenous knowledge of the area and high degree of training.
Any time travellers or tourists visit to a community based tourism site, the tour operator donates or gives something to support in the development of the community.
